What are the best sports for petite women?

I am 5′3 and small, and have yet to find a sport or activity where my size would be an advantage.

I’ve tried tennis,swimming, and running but those all favor taller people. Are there any sports I might be better suited to?

    FIELD HOCKEY
    i’m 5′2 and i playe din high school for 3 years. the whjole time ur bending over alot and its much more akwrd and diffficult for short girls. OO h and height doens’t matter to much my frined in hs was 5′2 and she was captain of our state champs volley ball team she playe din the back she just was skilled, she didn’t even jump high.

    Go big in badminton for serious. or maybe…. bocce ball. Any type of lawn game suits shrimps. Maybe just stick to reading Harry Potter and eating goat cheese.

    Try out some more sports and find something you like to do. Height doesn’t really matter in most sports you just need to find something that you will have fun doing. There is no point in playing a sport if you don’t like it. So get out there and enjoy life!

    some sports that height doesn’t always help in include stuff like paintball, airsoft, snowboarding, longboarding, surfing, skimboarding, etc. not as many girls do this as well so your going to get a lot of attention. of course it can be a tad bit rough though.

    I have no reason to tell you what sports are good for ’short’ people because it doesn’t quite matter, yet, if you insist…

    I have 2 sports for you, miss.

    One is GYMNASTICS-
    Gymnastics is getting more and more popular these days. Many people who take gymnastics are very very small for one reason. Gymnastics stunts your growth from all the intense exercise. And if you exercise too much you don’t have enough fat on your body to grow. But I see that you are already small (no offense) so you may be good. Plus, light people are good for gymnastics because there is much in gymnastics when you are in the air. All you need is a LOT of upper body strength (core, arms…).

    Second sport is CHEERLEADING-
    I don’t have much to say but that you would be a GREAT flyer. Girls who are petite, small, and short (that sounds like you! What a coincidence!) are PERFECT and I mean perfect for cheerleading because you can be a flyer, and let me tell you something, flyers are the ‘cool’ cheerleaders!… I don’t know why.. they just are.

    Volleyball could be just the sport for you. You probably won’t play on the net in front row like the taller people because they have more power. The game of volleyball needs more petite people like you to play back row though because you can get under the ball a lot quicker than the taller people. Volleyball would be great for you.
